Connect Your Camera to WiFi

Join the camera's own setup network, then enter your WiFi — no app required.

Have an Ethernet cable? Plug it into the controller before powering it on and skip WiFi setup entirely — it connects by itself.

1 Join the camera's setup network

  1. Plug in your camera controller and wait about 2 minutes. When it can't find a network, it creates its own temporary setup WiFi.
  2. Scan the setup QR code on the controller's label or Quick-Start sheet with your phone's camera, and tap to join.
  3. No QR code? Join by hand in your phone's Settings → WiFi:
    • Network: CurrentSituation- followed by the last 4 characters of the serial number
    • Password: the full serial number, without the dashes
    Or type the serial number into the box on this page to get your network details and QR code.

2 The setup page opens automatically

Once your phone joins the setup network, the WiFi setup page should pop up on its own. Your phone may call this “Sign in to network” or show a login banner — tap it if it doesn't open by itself.

Didn't open? Open your web browser and go to http://192.168.4.1. Make sure you're still connected to the setup network, and turn off mobile data if the page won't load.

3 Enter your WiFi details

  1. Pick your venue's WiFi network from the list (or choose Other and type its name exactly).
  2. Enter your WiFi password — it is case-sensitive.
  3. Tap Save. The controller restarts (about a minute), joins your WiFi, and its setup network disappears.
Setup network came back? The controller couldn't join your WiFi — usually a mistyped password. Join the setup network again and re-enter the details. Guest networks with a browser sign-in page, and networks that need a username, are not supported.

Your camera will appear online in your dashboard within a couple of minutes.

Phone-specific tips
Android
  1. Open the Camera app (or Google Lens) and point it at the QR code, then tap Join network.
  2. When your phone warns the network has no internet, choose to stay connected — that's expected during setup.
  3. Tap the “Sign in to network” notification to open the setup page.
  4. If nothing appears, open Chrome and go to 192.168.4.1.
Works in any browser — no app to install.
iPhone / iPad
No app needed anymore. The old Bluetooth method required a separate iPhone app — this WiFi method works straight from the Camera app and Safari.
  1. Open the Camera app, point it at the QR code, and tap Join Network.
  2. The setup page usually opens by itself. If iOS asks to keep using a network with no internet, choose to stay connected.
  3. If the page doesn't open, open Safari and go to 192.168.4.1.
Setting up more than one camera? Each controller has its own setup network, named after the last 4 characters of its serial number — match them up so you configure the right one.
